Girlfriend Weekend

This wasn't my first time at Fahrenheit but my best friend and I wanted to have a girls weekend so we decided to stay here cause central location, decent price and it's usually not too busy. The room was big, the bathroom was even bigger, good start to the weekend. There's hardly any parking so my car had to be parked near the bins outside the gate, wasn't too pleased. Anyway, after having their breakfast buffet which was just alright we were told that the breakfast is only free for one guest and we had to pay an extra N3,000 for the additional person. This I didn't understand cause there're two people staying in the room but whatever. In the evening I go down to the restaurant to read a book and have some ice cream. Ice cream with crumbs was lovely until the bill came. N2,500 for ice cream. Back story: the previous week I had been to Fahrenheit for a meeting, I had a huge platter of seasonal fruits and ice cream with crumbs and the bill was N2,000 but for some reason ice cream by itself was more expensive. This I thought was very silly of them. Overall the service is good, rooms are nicely decorated and well cleaned but the food isn't great and they'll find anyway to charge you extra for mediocre food.

Poor customer service

This place has so much potential however it lacks those little extra refinements that could make them much better. I stayed 7 nights here and this was by far my least favourite hotel in Lagos that I have stayed in. I had so many issues and I eventually got tired of complaining. The management here is absolutely appalling and incompetent. SERVICE - this concept seems to be non existent at this place. The staff haven't been fully trained on how to treat customers beyond saying good morning/afternoon/evening. there was no sense of urgency from the staff to try and solve any issues I had which I will mention below Will start with the positives - decent sized rooms - location Negatives! - the shower in my room was not draining properly and asked for it to be looked at but it took 3 days before I got moved to another room. They sent someone to fix it but he didn't fix anything despite spending 30 minutes in there. - the wifi service was terrible in the rooms almost non existent - no bathrobes or slippers - the air conditioning wasn't working properly and again this took 3 days of complaining before I got moved to another room - for breakfast you are very limited as to what you can have, it's either Nigerian or English/American breakfast. I don't eat bread and asked for it to be swapped for something else and I was told I would be charged extra which I refused to pay - the service was slow on one occasion i waited an hour for my breakfast and they still got my order wrong despite calling them twice to confirm - There is no guest handbooks in the room - parking is extremely limited. I really wanted to like this place but I'm afraid I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend based purely on the service I received during my stay.

Hidden gem!

Surprisingly good. Tucked in a quiet part of Victoria Island (away from Lagos traffic and the noise that comes with it), my friends and I stayed here for 7 nights and it was beautiful. The hotel staff were extremely courteous and friendly, WIFI was great, breakfast was on point (try the plantains, whatever you eat!), They can also arrange pick ups and drop offs. Downsides: Parking lot is small (so might struggle with parking if you're driving), swimming pool is small too (so sorry no feeling like Mr. Phelps). Also, the water in the bathroom would not stop running the first night, they were swift to attempt a fix, but when the the problem continued moments after, got a new room (an upgrade in fact). I would recommend to family and friends without batting a lid. Wait, did I mention how friendly, courteous and very helpful the staff are?

Comfortable place in Lagos

Stayed here during a business trip. The staff are extremely helpful. The rooms are comfortable, and clean. Shower is good with good shower pressure. Has some TV channels, weren't always clear and at times struggled. They have good and free wifi, that worked well almost always. Breakfast is very good. Have interesting choices- unlike most Nigerian hotels that have traditional food, but this hotel has good international choices. The only thing that I was not happy about is that they decided to fumigate the hotel one day without telling guests in advance. This made it difficult to access the rooms for sometime, as the fumigated smell still lingered quite strongly. Apart from that, the hotel is in a good location. Good value for what they charge. I would stay here again.
