Badly maintained but safe.

Everything is old and in the need of repair.Gym and Pool Arena Not usable. However it is well guarded and it feels Safe. In the evening there are 'Ladys' on the terrace which are obviously doing 'business'. Others are being guided to the rooms by hotel personell. This is not acceptable for me.

Rotten hotel - do not let the pictures fool you

Ok- I am hre on a business trip. The pictures made us pick thi hotel for a 4 days stay. When we arrived, I was surprised how old and worn off this place is. I assumed they did not perform any maintenance since the opening decades ago. Let me highlight two points. A) The pool is non existent. It is empty and damaged and the pool bar dusty and unused for years. B) Every night around 7p.a. a pack of 4 women arrive to !talk to men". They offering adult services starting at $20,-- Theyy are working within the hotel premises and are cleary accepted by the staff. Since they do not have room keys to run the elevator, the front desk staff brings them to the rooms. This is so disgusting. There are families wiith kids in the Lobby and restaurant - what the hell is the staff thinking? Having prostitutes looking for customers in a hotel - just unbeliveable. From my side there is nothing more to say. What a rotten place.

Nice and Safe hotel

I stayed a couple of times in this Hotel, One thing I like most is the security, the place is well secured with two security gates and a watch dog to screen people passing. the customer service is not so fantastic, the rooms are average though not too fantastic, nice pool, good WiFi, good buffet breakfast, the Happy-bite mall is just by the corner, 5 minutes walk, not too far away from the Port Harcourt football stadium. Generally its not too bad a hotel, but I just loved its location in the middle of town and good food.

Excellent Hotel at a Good Location

Rooms are neat and spacious. Good buffet breakfast. Clean environment. Has many halls down stairs for events. On Sundays, some of the halls are rented out to churches (2 or 3 different churches). The halls are well soundproofed as you do not hear the noises from the churches as they sing and praise-worship. The people are friendly. Same place to stay for pleasure and for business. Centrally located in the city.

Stayed in Novotel Port Harcourt,in room 401 seriously underwhelmed by hotel, poor customer service from the evening receptionist who apparently judge you, no help with bags, kept waiting at reception full pre- payments through association before arrival. Rooms overpriced, only good thing about hotel is the breakfast and security. I have stayed at cheaper hotels in Nigeria and elsewhere and gotten better service. Word of advice: front desk staff need better customer services training
