Very beautiful interior.Large, modern and clean rooms. All the staff are exceptional! Convenient central location. I shouldn't forget to mention the great dishes at the menu, and of course the atmospheric bar lounge! Highly recommended!

We opted to stay for only a night with my wife after realizing it wasn't really worth it. It looks upmarket and expensive but everything has a cheap feel to it. Mind you due to booking a double room late we were upgraded to a suite. However the lack of quality was still apparent. The shower was plastic, pillows were hard and uncomfortable, no water in the rooms etc. We asked for wifi and we're told it was an additional cost!? R100 for 500MB!! Who on earth still charges for wifi!? Anyways, for the same cost per night we far better accommodation elsewhere.

Excellent choice centrally located

The Cape Town Lodge doesn't look much as a building, but inside it is wonderful and the service is fantastic and friendly. The room we had was large and clean and modern, very comfortable. The restaurant is excellent with a great menu and fantastic service. We had new Year's eve here and they went to a lot of trouble to make it all really a great experience. The hotel is well located just opposite the interesting Bo Kaap district and a short walk into the City centre, Company Gardens, markets etc. It is a little further from the V& A waterfront but walkable, about 30-45 minutes - but taxis are good and regular to get you there and back and the V&A is overrated anyway. For us the best thing was the short walk to Long Street where the red tourist bus head office is located so you can hop on and hop off that bus on its various routes all around Cape Town and easily book the next bus to arrive there. In fact using the red bus service is the very best way to get up onto Table Mountain. You book the city tour bus and get your cable car lift pass from them at the red bus centre or from the driver also at the same time. The bus goes all the way up to the cable car park and you can then you already have your cable car ticket ready to just queue up (in January 2017 we had a 2.5 hour wait, but worth every second so for heavens sake just queue up, its not that bad waiting there!). After you return from on top of Table Mountain down into the car park the red bus is just waiting there for you to drop you back into town going via the rest of the very interesting tourist route around Sea Point etc. So the Cape Town Lodge Hotel is a highly recommended place to stay while in Cape Town.

Room with a view

I was upgrade to the loft with spectacular views of the Table mountain. Loft is equipped with a kitchen, there are free coffee and welcome aperitif. Rich and diverse breakfast. Hotel restaurant offers the most delicious snails that I've tried. Internet is paid.

Great room and location

I had a great experience at Cape Town Lodge. I was upgraded to one of their lofts and it was spectacular. The room was incredible, very clean, and amazing views. The staff was helpful in booking tours and car service. The location is great and not far from many of the local attractions.
