|Fantastic and friendly
First time stay at this hotel and will definitely recommend and stay again!! Nice comfortable room (quiet as we requested). Room was clean and airy. On arrival the hotel was busy and we were greeted immediately by a lovely chap stood at a podium in reception area. Quick check in and good nights sleep before our hols. Breakfast had plenty to choose and the complimentary shuttle bus was fab and 'funny' the driver was courteous and both informative and funny. He really brightened a blustery day and set us up for a good journey ahead. Will definitely stay again if flying from Manchester airport. |Clean and Comfortable
Very convenient for the airport. Upgrade to a club room for separate quiet lounge with free newspapers, snacks, drinks, bigger room and free breakfast. We found it well worth the money. Check the website to see what you get. A good breakfast set us up for the flight.

|Sampans Restaurant Excellent food and service
We eat here when staying at this hotel. This time we were staying at the Clayton but were so unimpressed by the welcome we received in the restaurant decided to eat in Sampans. The menu was varied and not the "run of the mill" choices and the service was superb. Highly recommend. We will return

|The best way to start your day
I find the Crown plaza the ideal place to "stay before your day". I use the hotel for business use when either catching an early flight or returning late in the evening. The comfy beds, a warm bath, glass of wine and nice food is gratefully received after a busy day travelling and leaves you refreshed to face the next day The hotel is clean, warm and welcoming. As an ihg member it is quick to check in and get to your room The hotel is well protected from the noise of the airport ensuring a non disturbed night. The breakfast is a wide selection of various food to suit all needs. It's self service but always fresh.

|Sadly very Dissapointed
Having stayed here before on numerous occasions, and always been delighted with everything previously, It is so disappointing that our last visit was not at all the normal standards expected As per my usual arrangements, I requested a quiet room, but very quickly it was apparent that my allocated room was exceedingly noisy and very hot, I requested a room change and was allocated a quieter room, Having pre booked an inclusive package, for room parking dinner and breakfast, we looked forward to a really enjoyable evening meal. on this occasion we chose the main restaurant, the menu, though a little restricting, looked a really nice choice We selected and ate our starters, and really enjoyed the food it was excellent We both chose a liver main course, and when presented, we noted the meat looked very pink, but when we cut into the liver it was virtually raw, and totally un edible we both left the meals virtually untouched, we then were served with desserts of ice cream which were fine, we mentioned the liver and we were given an apology and offered a coffee on the house,,, Our night sleep may have been quiet, but a problem with room temp , we had an uncomfortable night as the room was too warm.... As we always have an early start, we always prebook a room service breakfast, something we always enjoy, before the start of our journey Again, we were to be disappointed, the breakfast arrived on the designated time, and at first appearance looked fine, but when we started to eat the food was cold, everything we ordered to be hot was really cold, and the basket of pastries, were quite stale. so we were very upset, that everything had failed us on this occasion At check out we mentioned the catalogue of errors, we had experienced during this visit, and also mentioned that we were frequent visitors and had never before been so disappointed ,but again we received no apology ,just a throw away comment, of sorry about that, and have a nice flight,?? So we left very disappointed that the hotel failed us, and if they were having a bad day, they need to address a number of issues, We do not know whether to go back again, when we fly out of Manchester again, as we are worried that we may be disappointed again, It really upsets me to write this review, but just as I praised this hotel so highly in the past, its only fitting that I give a genuine review when things go so badly wrong
