Decant hotel. Nothing special about this hotel, just close to airport and cheap for what it it. I have stayed here twice and the staff is really nice and friendly. I do have status with them so I get extra stuff. But for ppl just need the night to stay for a plane trip it's good.

Two nights in this hotel booked very quickly when I discovered my company had booked me into the wrong hotel in central Manchester. Standing in line to check in I realised my shoes were sticking to the floor. There had been a large group of Irish football supporters there shortly before I arrived carrying drinks around the lobby and getting a bit unruly according to the restaurant staff. Reception staff were helpful. Approaching my room with trepidation I was pleasantly surprised to find a spacious room with a sofa and desk as well as normal double sized bed. Walk in shower large and spacious. Small showerhead but water pressure powerful enough to do the job well. Spotlessly clean, although what looked like a soft drink stain on the carpet marred the effect. Good and varied lighting. Reception had deliberately put me on the third floor as it was likely to be quiet. They were right. Food choices and the dining area were abysmal. If you like fried and carb loaded you might find something you like - pie and chips, fish and chips, lasagne, chilli (beef or veggie), marinated half chicken and chips - and a solitary chicken Caesar salad. You order and pay at the till and then someone brings your food and drinks to the table. Drinks come from the bar on the other side of reception, soft drinks too. On the first night I was brought drinks with straws, no glasses. Breakfast usually included in the price - sausages, scrambled egg and beans - that's it for hot choices. Tinned grapefruit and oranges, a selection of Muller yoghurts, muesli and some other cereals - and toast. Tea and coffee - very limited choice. The room is barren and depressing. Staff are pleasant enough but it can't be fun for them. My TV wasn't working so I asked reception to fix it when I left for work on the first morning - and they did although BBC1 still didn't work and kept cutting out. Special deal through booking.com !£154 for two nights incl breakfast. If I just needed a room while waiting for a plane it would work - not for my kind of stay though.

|Quiet and Comfy
Stayed for one night prior to a very early flight. The bed felt like a cloud and the pillows were plump and very comfy also. Clean and decent sized room. Weren't able to get breaky, but prior to cooked breakfast you're able to have cereals/croissants and toasts as well as hot drinks and juice. Great for early leavers. The croissants were nice and warm too! Staff were lovely. Only down side is the charge for the car park but that's the usual here. Highly recommend this airport hotel. Didn't hear any planes!!

3 of us stayed here before our holiday flight. £66 with breakfast you cant go wrong. The room was clean and tidy and had tea and coffee making facilities. We had an evening meal which was tasty and the whole experience was value for money. Lovely friendly staff as well which is always a bonus.
