Loews NYC Top Notch Guest Experience

Great Hotel with Great location. Traveled with 2 friends from DC for business and pleasure and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Staff from the time we arrived until we departed went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend for business or leisure travel.

We came here for a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the Loews experience. Our room was on the 10th floor and, while somewhat small, we were quite happy. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were heavenly. The amenities- robe, slippers, etc., all add to the vibe. The room was quiet and peaceful. Very happy and would definitely stay here again.

Good business hotel

I used this hotel as a base for visiting family because my brother was also staying at the hotel, which gives his employer favorable rates. The hotel enjoys an excellent location just above mid-town Manhattan. Its location makes it convent for business travelers, but also for people planning a shopping spree in New York. The lobby when I arrived was very crowded, but there were four reception clerks checking guests in, so the wait was much more modest than I feared when I entered. Reception was very friendly, and lobby staff was helpful with guests, though I did not avail myself of their assistance. The room was good sized, and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was also large, with good water pressure and hot water. The room and bathroom both were well tended and appeared clean. I did not use any of the hotel's amenities while I was there, but the bar just off the lobby was appealing if I had had more time to stay at the hotel. The hotel lacks charm; it is a busy place that appears to cater to business travelers. That said, it represents a good place to stay if in New York on business or for shopping.

Finally--a decent room in NYC

My prior experiences with hotel rooms in NYC have been pretty dismal, so I didn't have high expectations for this one. The hotel was really a very pleasant surprise, with it being in a great location and my room being quite large and comfortable. The front desk staff were helpful, especially the concierge who gave us two good restaurant recommendations (there are many to choose from in the area which is filled with lots of shops and restaurants). The room had everything you would want with the exception of a coffee maker--which they told me at check-out could have been requested (would have been better to tell me this at check-in). The toiletries in the room were especially nice, being associated with a spa next door to the hotel. Although I didn't have a view from my room, it was comfortable and I was only there two nights. There is a lively bar next door, which served coffee in the mornings (again, it would have been nice if this information had been imparted at check-in as I only discovered the coffee on my second day there). After check-out, we asked for a taxi to go about a mile to our conference--and much to our surprise were offered the town car associated with the hotel for a no-charge ride. Now that is service and this is what tipped me to giving this hotel 5 stars (a 4 probably would have been my choice given the lack of coffee). If my travels take me to NYC again, I will consider booking here again--decent price, great location and nice room. What's not to like?

Beautiful hotel

The hotel had a great location, nice rooms with very comfortable beds. The staff were very helpful. Each evening webcams back to the room to find our room tidy with water and cookies by our bed. The room did not have a view but it was decorated tastefully. Our only downside was there was the fact that it only had a stocked refrigerator and we could not fit anything in it.
